A Case can open from several sources. Whatever opens a Case, it behaves the same way after it is created: you triage, route, and resolve it with the same workflow. This page lists the sources that can open a Case and links to how each one works.

| Source | How a Case opens | Status | Learn more |

| Coralogix Alerts | An alert that matches your Case filtering rules opens a Case automatically. | Generally available | [Set up Cases](https://coralogix.com/docs/docs/user-guides/cases/quick-start/.md) |
| Prometheus Alert Manager | Alert Manager posts alert groups to a Coralogix webhook, which opens a Case and keeps it updated as alerts fire and resolve. | Public beta | [Prometheus Alert Manager](https://coralogix.com/docs/docs/user-guides/cases/prometheus-alert-manager-triage/.md) |

## Coming soon[](#coming-soon "Direct link to Coming soon")

More sources are on the way, so a Case can capture problems wherever they surface:

* **Error Tracking**: open a Case from a tracked error.
* **API**: create Cases programmatically from your own tooling.
* **Manual**: open a Case yourself for an issue that no alert caught.
