Verify your data

Once you have connected a source, confirm the data is actually arriving before you build alerts or dashboards on top of it. Data usually appears within a few minutes.

What success looks like

Within a few minutes you should see live lines in Livetail, your application and subsystem names in the Explore filters, and events carrying the fields you sent. Once all three are true, your pipeline is working end to end and you can start building on it.

Watch data arrive in real time

Open Livetail to stream logs as they reach Coralogix. Seeing lines appear confirms that your integration, API key, and endpoint are all working together.

Confirm in Explore

  1. Go to Explore and select the dataset you sent to (logs, spans, or metrics).
  2. Set the time range to the last 15 minutes.
  3. Filter by the application and subsystem names you set during setup.
  4. Confirm your events appear with the fields you expect.

What to expect

  • Data typically appears within a few minutes of setup.
  • New application and subsystem names are created automatically the first time data arrives under them.
  • Metrics can take slightly longer to show up than logs.

If nothing appears

If you still see no data after a few minutes, work through Troubleshooting. It covers API key errors, endpoint mismatches, and integrations that are configured but not collecting.
