Notification Source Types
Outbound notifications are sent to a destination type using a preset, a message configuration of templates with conditions that are rendered with data from an event to produce the final notification context.
A preset consists of two layers:
- The notification source type, a component of the Coralogix infrastructure capable of sending notifications.
- The notification source subtype, an additional level of granularity within a notification source type, ensuring precise schema support for different types of notifications.
Integration definitions use the notification source type and subtype to configure templates for different outbound notification types.
Alerts are one example of a notification source type. To find out more about alerts as a notification source, including supported alert subtypes, visit Alerts as a Notification Source Type.
