Today, you no longer require failures in your system to cause latency issues in your services.
Alongside distributed Tracing monitoring, Coralogix introduces a new “Tracing” alert that allows you to be alerted automatically for specific Tags and Services according to any Latency specified.
Tracing alerts can be grouped by different Tags and specified for a specific threshold of Latency and Spans.
To get started, select New Alert in the Alerts Screen, and choose TRACING.
First, define the latency for your alert.
You can also specify a Tag value (optional) using the following key value operators: Is, Starts With, Includes, or Ends With
You can also filter the Traces by their Application/Subsystem/Service or keep the default option by selecting ‘All’. Filters are not mandatory.
Each span can have a different Application/Subsystem, keep that in mind when you use filters for the alert.
Alert conditions can be set using Notify Immediately or More than a specified number of Spans:
You can enhance your Tracing alert with ‘Group By’.
When ‘Group By’ is applied for a specific Tag, the alert will monitor each value of the specified Tag.
The Tracing alert will trigger whenever the conditions will be met for a specific aggregated value of the Tag selected.
You can set up to 2 unique Tags to group by.
Enjoy and take advantage of this new capability.
