Compact Mode

Overview

Compact Mode in Explore provides a simplified and streamlined view, enabling users to focus on active monitoring and querying without additional widgets, filters, or statistics. This mode is especially useful for working with large-scale data and performance-heavy queries.

Use it to: - Optimize query performance by triggering statistics and filters only when required. - Enhance usability by removing unnecessary visual clutter during exploration.

Behavior details

  1. Activate Compact Mode

    • To activate Compact Mode, navigate to Explore and click on the toggle button in the Explore tab panel.

    • When Compact Mode is enabled, the Explore screen opens or reloads without widgets, filters, and log, template and trace count statistics.
    • The selected mode (Compact or Standard) is saved to the view attributes, ensuring consistency across sessions.
    • Collapsed filter panel
    • When opening the collapsed filter panel in Compact Mode, the associated statistics will not be displayed for better performance.
    • Statistics query trigger
    • When you open the top widget in Compact Mode, it triggers the relevant statistics query only for widget-related data display.

For example, to show a previously hidden graph, click on the Explore settings button and then Show Graph.
