19:00 – 19:30 – Keynote: AI Is Only as Smart as the Telemetry You Feed It

AI is increasingly becoming part of how modern systems are built and operated. From assisting developers during incident response to identifying anomalies in production environments, AI promises faster insights and smarter operations. But there is a fundamental constraint that is often overlooked: AI can only reason about the signals it can observe.

In this talk, we explore why telemetry is the foundation that makes AI useful in real production systems. Logs, metrics, and traces form the behavioural record of how software actually runs. When this telemetry is fragmented or incomplete, AI systems are forced to guess. When it is unified and well instrumented, AI can begin to understand system behaviour at scale.

We will also look at how OpenTelemetry is the standard for collecting these signals, and how Coralogix allows AI to analyse them to surface insights, detect anomalies, and accelerate incident investigation.

Meet our presenter

Lewis is a Developer Advocate at Coralogix, where he works closely with developers to explore smarter approaches to observability and how deep technical telemetry can be connected to meaningful business and user outcomes. Prior to joining Coralogix, he was a Tech Lead at IBM, where he led the technical delivery of mobile application projects for clients including BP and a major UK bank.
