VAST Errors Detected in Logs
This alert will trigger whenever VAST Errors are detected in the response. The VAST error will be a list of URLs that contain information.
Over 1000 Concurrent Sessions in 5 mins
This alarm will trigger when over 1000 concurrent sessions have been detected in a 5 minute timeframe, for a single origin ID.
VAST Errors Causing Slow ADS or Transcoding Times
This error captures instances where there is a spike in the number of VAST errors from the ADS server, which subsequently correlates with a slow down in transcoding or VAST response times. This is a powerful indicator that some error in the ADS is having a measurable impact on MediaTailors ability to perform.
ADS Response Poor Performance (>60s) for significant portion of time
This alert triggers when the Advertisement Decision Server is responding slowly for over 2 minutes out of the past 10 minutes.
Transcode Poor Performance (>20s) for significant portion of time
This alert will trigger when transcoding performance exceeds 20 seconds. NOTE: For Coralogix Elemental Extension users, this value should be configured to match your desired performance standards.
High Traffic And Indications of Poor Encoder Performance
This alarm triggers when there is a spike in certain signals from the encoder, that point towards a potential performance problem, for example, high IDR rates.
Cloudfront Egress Bytes Higher Than Usual
This alert will trigger when Cloudfront Data is egressing from the Cloudfront instance faster than normal, indicating a potentially unexpectedly high demand.
VAST Error Spike
This alarm will trigger when there is a sudden appearance of VAST errors. There should be 0 VAST errors in normal operational situations, so anything over 0 is sufficient to trigger this alarm. REMEDIATION: IF VAST Errors are detected, the issue lies with the IDS, which must be investigated to ensure operational performance.
Forced IDR Rates Higher than Expected
High forced IDR rates are a leading metric for poor performance in the encoder.
High Volume on the site is causing Transcode Errors
This flow alert first measures a high number of concurrent streams on the site, followed by degraded performance, and finally errors appearing from the ADS (via VAST errors) or from the Transcoder (via the Transcode Error)
Transcode Errors Higher than Usual
This alarm triggers when transcode errors are higher than normal, as profiled by our machine learning algorithm, with a base threshold of 10.
Transcoding Error Rate > 1%
This error triggers when the error rate exceeds 1% for transcoding errors
