Assistant Controller

About The Position

Coralogix is a modern, full-stack observability platform transforming how businesses process and understand their data. Our unique architecture powers in-stream analytics without reliance on expensive indexing or hot storage. We specialize in comprehensive monitoring of logs, metrics, trace, and security events with features such as APM, RUM, SIEM, Kubernetes monitoring, and more, all enhancing operational efficiency and reducing observability spending by up to 70%.

We are seeking a dynamic Assistant Controller to join our finance team. The Assistant Controller plays a pivotal role in our finance department, ensuring the integrity and efficiency of our financial operations in the US. This dynamic position is designed for a detail-oriented individual with a passion for finance and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. The Assistant Controller will be responsible for a wide range of financial activities to maintain and improve our financial procedures.

Responsibilities: 

  • They will be responsible for the financial month-end closing process and related activities to ensure complete and accurate financials in accordance with U.S. GAAP. In addition, supporting the consolidation of the reporting process. 
  • Overseeing the management of the general ledger and conducting regular reconciliations to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records.
  • Directing the Accounts Payable function, including processing employee expense reimbursements, to ensure all invoices are received, processed, and paid promptly and accurately, in compliance with internal policies.
  • Working collaboratively with the global finance team to enhance financial processes and systems, aiming for greater efficiency and effectiveness.
  • They provide comprehensive financial support to various U.S. team functions, such as Human Resources, management, and sales, to aid in strategic decision-making and operational efficiency.
  • Taking charge of tax planning and compliance responsibilities, including adherence to federal, state, sales, and local tax regulations, ensuring the company meets all its tax obligations.
  • Managing the payroll process in coordination with third-party service providers, focusing on data accuracy, compliance with payroll regulations, and serving as a bridge between employees and the payroll provider. This includes maintaining payroll integrity, resolving discrepancies, and continuously improving the payroll process for greater efficiency and compliance.
  • Supporting the Financial Controller in steering the company's financial planning by analyzing performance and assessing risks, contributing to strategic decision-making.
  • Assisting in preparing and coordinating the audit process, ensuring a smooth and compliant audit procedure.
  • Overseeing the preparation of essential financial statements, including cash flow statements, income statements, and balance sheets, to provide a transparent and accurate financial overview of the company.
  • Identifying and resolving financial discrepancies to maintain the reliability and integrity of financial data.

This role demands a proactive and detail-oriented professional capable of managing complex financial tasks, ensuring compliance, and contributing to the financial strength and growth of the company.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or MBA would be a plus.
  • At least two years of experience in a similar role within the finance industry.  
  • Possesses outstanding verbal, written, and listening capabilities and the aptitude to leverage accounting and operational expertise for collaborative guidance and professional interaction with diverse organizational levels, facilitating informed business decisions.
  • Exhibits strong cross-cultural communication skills and the capacity for flexible collaboration across different time zones, proficient in utilizing digital tools for efficient remote work with offshore management and bookkeeping teams, demonstrating autonomy in decision-making and extensive knowledge.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in accounting software (NetSuite - advantage)
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Ability to simplify and improve inefficient or unnecessarily complex processes.
  • Capable of addressing abstract problems and challenges independently and through collaboration with cross-departmental teams.
  • Have a sense of urgency with the ability to balance competing priorities.
  • Experience in working in a high-phase dynamic work environment.

Note that this role is required to be in the Boston office, which is located in the Seaport.
