Coralogix Extension For Azure Application Gateway Includes:
Dashboards - 1
Gain instantaneous visualization of all your Azure Application Gateway data.
Alerts - 7
Stay on top of Azure Application Gateway key performance metrics. Keep everyone in the know with integration with Slack, PagerDuty and more.
Unhealthy Host
This alert triggers when the number of unhealthy hosts in an Azure Application Gateway backend pool exceeds 1 for a continuous period of 5 minutes. Customization Guidance: Threshold: The default threshold is set at 1 unhealthy hosts. Adjust this threshold based on your application's tolerance for unavailable hosts. Backend Pool Specificity: Customize alerts for different backend pools based on their criticality in your infrastructure. Notification Frequency: Optimize the frequency to balance responsiveness with the potential for alert fatigue. Action: Check the health of backend hosts, investigate issues, and ensure that the Application Gateway is correctly configured and scaled.
High last byte response
This alert triggers when the average last byte response time for requests to a backend server exceeds 50ms for a continuous period of 5 minutes. Customization Guidance: Threshold: The default threshold is set at 50ms. Adjust based on acceptable latency levels for your application. Backend Server Specificity: Monitor specific backend servers for tailored alerts. Notification Frequency: Adjust the frequency to ensure timely response without causing alert fatigue. Action: Investigate potential causes of increased response times, such as backend server issues or network latency.
High first byte response
This alert triggers when the average first byte response time for requests to a backend server exceeds 50ms for a continuous period of 5 minutes. Customization Guidance: Threshold: The default threshold is set at 50ms. Adjust based on acceptable latency levels for your application. Backend Server Specificity: Customize alerts for specific backend servers. Notification Frequency: Adjust the frequency to ensure timely response without causing alert fatigue. Action: Investigate potential causes of increased response times, such as backend server issues or network latency.
High 5xx > 1% total
This alert triggers when the rate of 5xx errors exceeds 1% of the total requests for a continuous period of 5 minutes. Customization Guidance: Threshold: The default threshold is set at 1%. Adjust based on acceptable error rates for your application. Application Gateway Specificity: Customize alerts based on the criticality of different Application Gateways. Notification Frequency: Balance between timely response and avoiding alert fatigue. Action: Investigate potential causes of the errors, such as backend server issues or misconfigurations.
High 4xx > 5% total
This alert triggers when the rate of 4xx errors exceeds 5% of the total requests for a continuous period of 5 minutes. Customization Guidance: Threshold: The default threshold is set at 5%. Adjust based on acceptable error rates for your application. Application Gateway Specificity: Customize alerts based on the criticality of different Application Gateways. Notification Frequency: Balance between timely response and avoiding alert fatigue. Action: Investigate potential causes of the errors, such as client-side issues or misconfigurations.
High total 5xx
This alert triggers when a high number of 5xx errors is detected in an Azure Application Gateway. Customization Guidance: Threshold: Set a threshold based on your application's tolerance for server-side errors. Application Gateway Specificity: Customize alerts based on the criticality of different Application Gateways. Notification Frequency: Balance between timely response and avoiding alert fatigue. Action: Investigate potential causes of the errors, such as backend server issues or misconfigurations.
High total 4xx
This alert triggers when a high number of 4xx errors is detected in an Azure Application Gateway. Customization Guidance: Threshold: Set a threshold based on your application's tolerance for client-side errors. Application Gateway Specificity: Customize alerts based on the criticality of different Application Gateways. Notification Frequency: Balance between timely response and avoiding alert fatigue. Action: Investigate potential causes of the errors, such as client-side issues or misconfigurations.
