A Milestone for Government AI: Coralogix Begins FedRAMP Journey

Today Coralogix announced U.S. Department of Education Sponsorship for FedRAMP® Authorization.

Government agencies currently face a critical balancing act. On one side, there is an urgent mandate to modernize operations and adopt artificial intelligence to improve services. On the other, there are strict requirements for security, compliance, and data sovereignty that cannot be compromised.

Navigating this landscape requires partners who understand both the speed of innovation and the necessity of governance.

Today, we are proud to announce a major step forward in bridging this gap. The U.S. Department of Education’s Federal Student Aid office has officially agreed to serve as the sponsoring agency for Coralogix’s pursuit of a FedRAMP® Moderate authorization.

This is more than just a procedural step. It positions Coralogix to become the first FedRAMP-authorized AI observability platform. This milestone underscores our commitment to providing the public sector with the tools they need to innovate safely and effectively.

The Significance of FedRAMP Sponsorship

The Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP) is the gold standard for cloud security assessment in the United States government. It provides a standardized approach to security authorizations for cloud service offerings.

Achieving sponsorship from a major agency like the Department of Education is a rigorous process. It validates that our platform meets the high demand for secure, scalable, and observable AI solutions within the federal government.

Once this authorization is complete, Coralogix will be approved to provide U.S. federal agencies with our full-stack observability platform. This clears the path for agencies to deploy AI applications with real-time visibility into performance, quality, and security.

Why AI Observability Matters for Federal Agencies

As federal agencies increasingly adopt multicloud strategies and AI-driven analytics, the complexity of their digital environments skyrockets. Traditional monitoring tools often fail to capture the nuances of generative AI and large language models (LLMs).

Agencies need to know more than just if a server is up or down. They need to understand what their AI is saying and doing.

Solving the “Black Box” Problem

AI models can often feel like “black boxes.” You input data, and you get an output, but the internal reasoning can be opaque. For a government entity serving millions of citizens, opacity is a risk.

Coralogix provides a centralized oversight mechanism. Unlike general observability vendors, we review the actual content of the interaction between the user and the AI. This allows us to detect critical issues in real time, including:

  • Toxicity: Identifying harmful or inappropriate language generated by the model.
  • Hallucinations: Detecting when an AI confidently presents false information as fact—a critical risk for public-facing government chatbots.
  • Security Breaches: Spotting bad actors attempting to manipulate a chatbot (prompt injection) to steal sensitive data or bypass security protocols.

By offering these insights within a single platform, we empower agencies to manage AI agents with the same confidence they manage traditional infrastructure.

Doing More With Less: The Consolidation Benefit

Federal IT teams often struggle with tool sprawl. They might have one tool for logs, another for metrics, a third for security traces, and yet another for AI monitoring. This fragmentation leads to high costs, training fatigue, and blind spots in security coverage.

Coralogix consolidates capabilities that typically require up to ten separate solutions.

By unifying Application Performance Monitoring (APM), Security Information and Event Management (SIEM), Real User Monitoring (RUM), and AI observability, we allow agencies to streamline their operations. This consolidation delivers measurable savings for government sector customers, allowing budget dollars to be redirected toward mission-critical outcomes rather than software licensing fees.

Introducing Olly: The Autonomous Teammate

Efficiency isn’t just about consolidating tools; it’s about automating workflows. We recently launched Olly, the industry’s first autonomous observability agent.

Most AI assistants are reactive. They wait for you to ask a question or run a command. Olly is different. It acts as a proactive intelligence layer that sits on top of your telemetry data.

Think of Olly as a digital engineering teammate that works alongside your federal IT staff. It identifies production issues in real time and provides clear, evidence-backed answers without needing complex prompts.

Olly can:

  • Decide what data to analyze based on context.
  • Run queries autonomously to investigate anomalies.
  • Explain its decision-making process transparently.
  • Suggest actionable next steps to resolve incidents.

For federal teams that are often understaffed or overwhelmed by alert noise, Olly provides the leverage needed to maintain high uptime and security standards.

A Commitment to Federal Success

Our journey toward FedRAMP authorization is driven by a desire to serve the public sector with the best technology available. We understand that government agencies have unique pressures that commercial entities do not face.

Ariel Assaraf, CEO and co-founder of Coralogix, highlighted the importance of this partnership:

“We are grateful to the U.S. Department of Education-Federal Student Aid office for its trust and sponsorship of our platform. Coralogix is committed to bringing U.S. federal agencies a streamlined, secure solution that simplifies operations and accelerates decision-making, so they can focus on delivering results rather than managing complexity.”

The Road Ahead

In collaboration with the FCC and in coordination with the FedRAMP Program Management Office, Coralogix has already finished all preliminary requirements. We are currently on track to achieve full FedRAMP certification within the next year.

This process involves a thorough, ongoing review of our data protection, governance, and cloud security practices. We welcome this scrutiny because it ensures that when a federal agency chooses Coralogix, they are choosing a partner that prioritizes security above all else.

As we move forward, our mission remains clear: to enable businesses and government entities to monitor and manage data in real time, providing instant insights without the need for complex, expensive storage solutions.

We look forward to supporting the U.S. government’s modernization journey, ensuring that as agencies embrace the power of AI, they do so with eyes wide open.
