This Win is for Our Customers – We’ve Just Raised $142 Million in a Series D Round

While 2020 and 2021 were significant years for us, we’ve entered this year ready to give more to our users!

We’re delighted to share we have raised $142 million in a Series D funding round!

So what does that mean for you exactly? Over the past few months, our team has been working hard to build custom mapping for metrics, an advanced tracing UI, and more into our platform. The world is our oyster, and we can’t wait for you to see what else we have planned!

Streama Technology

Our Streama Technology produces real-time insights and trend analysis for all observability data with no reliance on storage or indexing, solving the challenges of building, running, and securing modern infrastructures and applications. You can read more about our Streama technology and see how it works for yourself!

“Our approach at Coralogix is to solve the fundamental challenges of ever-growing data volumes and system complexity. Our technology breaks the unit economics of observability to provide our customers with a cost-effective way to centralize and scale across the R&D organization. With this round of funding, we will be expanding our offering into further markets as we continue our journey to provide harmonious observability,” said Ariel Assaraf, CEO of Coralogix.

Our users typically see a 40 to 70 percent cost reduction while expanding their coverage and improving data insights via our Streama technology. The technology uses Kafka streams and independent Kubernetes services to analyze data in-stream. Coralogix uses components within the stream to store the system state and produce time-relative insights such as trend analysis, dynamic alerting, and anomaly detection with no dependence on any external datastore. All of the data is stored in the client’s S3 bucket, or any object storage, with direct query capabilities via our UI or CLI, giving the customer infinite retention.

Full-Stack Observability

We are committed to maintaining our status as a best-in-class observability tool – in 2022, we’ve taken the next steps in our evolution to provide users infinite insights into their logs, metrics, tracing, and security.

Logs

Get full feature functionality and infinite retention without ever having to index your raw data for infinite insights with transparent and predictable costs. Generate trackable metrics from your logs on the fly using the Logs2Metrics feature. Automatically cluster millions of individual logs into templates to more quickly pinpoint issues. Lastly, with Coralogix Actions, you can easily jump to third-party vendors based on query results/values under specific keys identified via the Coralogix platform.

Metrics

Collect all metric data without the overhead, performance, and scaling issues of other solutions so that you can centralize alerts and visualizations, correlate across systems and environments, and leverage open platforms advanced mapping visualizations. With our new DataMap feature, you’ll be able to create visual mappings of your infrastructure, log-based, and business metrics data to represent and monitor the structure and health of your business. The feature offers you full customization based on any perspective or goal.

Tracing

Our tracing features allow you to pinpoint issues, drill down into spans and visualize data flows, resolve issues faster, and work with open-source instrumentation & visualization tools. The Coralogix Tracing UI can be used for querying, filtering, and visualizing your tracing data in the same screen as all your logs, metrics, and security events. You can filter traces by applications, subsystems, and duration, allowing you to easily identify traces that are above a given threshold or fall within a min-max range.

We are an official contributor to OpenTelemetry so your tracing data can easily be sent to the Coralogix platform using our exporter. Plus, in addition to offering our own UI, you can visualize your tracing data in a hosted-Jaeger instance or bring your own and use Coralogix as a data source.

Security

The Coralogix security features offer you a modern solution that enables security as a code and meets the highest security and compliance standards. With the platform, you’ll get full data coverage, cloud SIEM, cloud security posture, vulnerability assessments, network and host security monitoring, and access to a 24×7 security resource center.

What Are Our Plans

In short, it’s been an exciting few months for us and the platform. As we move forward, and with this new round of funding, we are more committed than ever to providing our users with the best solution there is.

To that end, we will continue growing our go-to-market, product, and R&D teams and expand into 10 new markets. As we expand, we will be focused on maintaining our world-class support and adding to and improving our full-stack observability platform.

We understand the importance of efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and reliability, and we vow always to give our users the best there is!

Thank You to Our Investors!

We’re proud to partner with Advent International and Brighton Park Capital, who co-led this round, with participation from Revaia Ventures and existing investors Greenfield Partners, Red Dot Capital Partners, Eyal Ofer’s O.G. Tech, StageOne Ventures, Joule Capital Partners, and Maor Investments.

Announcing our $55M Series C Round Funding to further our storage-less data vision

It’s been an exciting year here at Coralogix. We welcomed our 2,000th customer (more than doubling our customer base) and almost tripled our revenue. We also announced our Series B Funding and started to scale our R&D teams and go-to-market strategy.

Most exciting, though, was last September when we launched Streamaⓒ – our stateful streaming analytics pipeline.

And the excitement continues! We just raised $55 million for our Series C Funding to support the expansion of our stateful streaming analytics platform and further our storage-less vision.

Streamaⓒ technology

Streamaⓒ technology allows us to analyze your logs, metrics, and security traffic in real-time and provide long-term trend analysis without storing any of the data.

The initial idea behind Streamaⓒ was to support our TCO Optimizer feature which enables our customers to define how the data is routed and stored according to use case and importance.

“We started with 3 very big international clients spending half a million dollars a year for our service, and we reduced that to less than $200,000. So, we created massive savings, and that allowed them to scale,” CEO Ariel Assaraf explains. “Because they already had that budget, they could stop thinking about whether or not to connect new data. They just pour in a lot more data and get better observability.”

Then we saw that the potential of Streama goes far beyond simply reducing costs. We are addressing all of the major challenges brought by the explosive growth of data. When costs are reduced, scale and coverage are more attainable. Plus, Streamaⓒ is only dependent on CPU and automatically scales up and down to match your requirements so we can deliver top-tier performance in the most demanding environments.

What’s next for Coralogix

Moving forward, our goal is to advance our storage-less vision and use Streamaⓒ as the foundation for what we call the data-less data platform.

There are two sides to this vision. On the one hand, we have our analytics pipeline which is providing all of the real-time and long-term insights that you need to monitor your applications and systems without storing the data. On the other hand, we’re providing power query capabilities for archived data that hasn’t ever been indexed.

So, imagine a world where you can send all of your data for analysis without thinking about quotas, without thinking about retention, without thinking about throttling. Get best-in-class analytics with long-term trends and be able to query all the data from your own storage, without any issues of privacy or compliance.

With this new round of funding, we’re planning to aggressively scale our R&D teams and expand our platform to support the future of data.

Thank you to our investors!

We’re proud to partner with Greenfield Partners, who led this round, along with support from our existing investors at Red Dot Capital Partners, StageOne Ventures, Eyal Ofer’s – O.G. Tech, Janvest Capital Partners, Maor ventures, and 2B Angels.

We have a lot of ambitious goals that we expect to meet in the next few quarters, and this funding will help us get there even faster.

$100M raised | 12 Months | 4 Companies | 1 Surging market

In the world of DevOps and continuous delivery, Log Analytics tools are quickly emerging as a crucial component for an effective strategy towards improved maintenance procedures and support of complex cloud infrastructures.

Just to provide a scale; the software maintenance market is estimated at around $140B annually, among which, $3B are invested annually in log management alone, with an amazing predicted growth rate of 12% a year for the next 5 years.

The complexity of log data and the scale of production systems are constantly increasing, making the traditional methods of writing log files and manually investigating them no longer adequate to analyze production systems.

The main challenge of Log Analytics companies is to simplify this process by using practical visualization methods and search tools that allow users to filter out noise and get the insights they need.

After years in which Splunk ruled supreme with its on-premise solution, Loggly’s SaaS alternative rose and was quickly adopted by the market, forcing Splunk to come out with its own SaaS solution “Splunk Storm”.

Following Loggly’s success, companies like LogRhythm, SumoLogic, and Logentries emerged and launched their own SaaS solutions for Log Analytics, each company with its own approach.

Loggly: The classic Log Analytics tool.
Provides powerful search and visualization tools, allows integration with other products but the focus remains on Log Management.
Loggly announced that it raised $15M in series C:
Loggly’s round C

LogRhythm: A security-oriented product (SIEM) with less value to maintenance purposes
Provides strong pattern matching and report capabilities for security purposes, the drawback, however, is the solution’s price, which is quite higher than the competition
LogRhythm announced that it raised $40M in series E:
LogRhythm round E

SumoLogic: Unstructured big data management software.
Provides statistic views and data aggregation technologies with their prime feature of “Log Reduce”, lately SumoLogic expanded their solution to the areas of business intelligence and security in order to place themselves as an alternative to Splunk (hard to miss the imagination between the two products)
SumoLogic announced that it raised $30M in a venture investment, and they intend to go through an IPO in the future:
Sumo Logic venture investment

LogEntries: A relatively light Log Analytics tool
Provides automatic log collection, log search and personal tagging of logs, those who wish to use Logentries for more complicated analytics will mostly fall short
Logentries announced that it raised $10M in series A:
LogEntries round A

All in all, it’s safe to assume that the Log Analytics market is here to stay and will continue growing as software systems will become more complex.
